About me

I am a barrister specialising in representing businesses in dealings with various regulators in the following legal areas: Food Law; Health and Safety including Fire safety; Consumer Law including Unfair Trading and Product Safety; and Environmental Law. My experience extends from criminal regulatory prosecutions through to appeals against improvement and other notices and other regulatory action and includes judicial reviews against the decisions of regulators. Such regulators include but are not limited to: The Food Standards Agency; Local Authorities; The Health and Safety Executive; The Environment Agency; The Office of Product Safety and Standards; The Competition and Markets Authority; Government Departments; and many others.

I am authorised to take instructions directly without the need for a solicitor in appropriate cases and am also permitted, in the right case, to carry out litigation as a solicitor would.
